Brent Beerley
Brent has twelve years of experience in the renewable energy industry, and currently serves as Executive V.P. at Community Energy, a solar and wind power firm based in Radnor, PA. Prior to Community Energy, Brent worked for the U.S DOE, and received a degree from James Madison University. Brent is passionate about sustainable village power across the world, and is excited to join the Power Up Gambia team in their mission to provide clean reliable power to health care facilities across The Gambia.
Patricia Foell
Pat is Senior Vice President and Global Knowledge Center Lead for MasterCard Advisors, a consulting services organization that is part of MasterCard Worldwide. Through her work and travel across the globe, she has developed a strong personal interest in developing sustainable solutions to infrastructure issues in developing economies, particularly Africa. Pat hopes to apply her broad international marketing and business expertise to helping achieve Power Up Gambia's objectives. Pat has an undergraduate degree from Penn State and both an MA and MBA from the University of Chicago.
Kathryn Cunningham Hall
Kathryn Hall is the founder of Power Up Gambia and is currently a medical student at the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from University of Pennsylvania's undergraduate program in 2008 with a major in biology and minors in chemistry and nutrition. Kathryn was born and raised in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania and now lives in Philadelphia with her husband and son, Michael and Logan Hall.
Tanya Keenan
Tanya is a University of Pennsylvania medical student interested in health care access in underserved communities at home and abroad. Before medical school, she completed degrees in neuroscience and political science at the University of Pittsburgh. Tanya is currently pursuing a master's in public health at Johns Hopkins University, and she looks forward to using what she learns in nonprofit management and developing country health systems to advance Power Up Gambia's work.
Jeanine Lee
Jeanine Lee is an Accounting Manager at the MandMarblestone Group, llc with more than 9 years of experience in accounting. She is interested in art, music, design, and technology and the influence they have in our everyday lives. Jeanine enjoys public service and is looking forward to using her financial background and interest in social change to advance the mission of Power Up Gambia.
Elisabeth Svanberg, MD, Ph.D
Elisabeth is Vice President, Development Lead for the drug dapagliflozin at Bristol Myers Squibb. She is a board qualified surgeon and Associate Professor. Originally from Sweden, Elisabeth spent time in Ghana during medical school and brings a combination of medical expertise, international perspective and fundraising/collaboration abilities to the board. As an MD specializing in surgery, Elisabeth is interested in mentoring medical students in addition to serving on the board.
Linda Tabeling, CPA
Linda is a CPA with over 25 years of experience in public accounting and is the founder of Tabeling & Company, LLC. Having a strong sense of community, she has always volunteered her services in numerous community organizations and now serves as treasurer of the board of Power Up Gambia. Linda graduated from Ohio State University with majors in Accounting and Finance and received a Masters in Taxation from Widener University.
Richelle Todd-Yamoah
Richelle Todd-Yamoah is currently the Assistant Program Advisor for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation at American Friends Service Committee in Philadelphia. Richelle has spent much of her professional career focusing on development, advocacy and education on Africa issues, including volunteering in the Peace Corps in Cote d'Ivoire West Africa and in the Crisis Corps in Malawi. Richelle lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
