Hi everyone! This is Jen - I volunteer with PUG by helping to coordinate our students and interns and by talking to people about our awesome upcoming projects!

Last week, I attended the Do Something Awards with Kathryn and had an awesome time! Kathryn was awarded a 2008 Do Something Award and appeared on the Nickelodeon Teen Choice Awards. This year, the award show was held at the Apollo Theater in NYC. When we got to the theater, the leaders of Do Something asked Kathryn be part of the show. It was great to see Kathryn on Apollo's famous stage talking about PUG! After her appearance, this year's award winners were honored by actors, actresses and musical stars talking about their great work. As the show progressed, Kathryn and I passed business cards to Boys Like Girls -- after they played of course! -- and Lauren Bush, a model who developed the "feed bag purses" to help feed hungry children. We also got to try out our dancing shoes when Akon made a surprise appearance and played three great songs! All in all, it was an amazing night that really inspired me to Do Something... for PUG!
